In response to my ex hates me posted by ninoszag:

It's hard to imagine that some people can just come and go from our lives. Especially when we love them and when they've been a big part of things for us. But the reality is, sometimes breaking up is the best thing. Not only that, but leaving your ex behind can be much better than trying to stay friends.

Here's the thing. You said she treated you badly for quite a while, and instead of addressing the situation you were just happy to see her again. This means that the situation was still out there and unresolved. She KNOWS she treated you badly. She, for whatever reason, was done with the relationship long before she broke up with you. (Someone that loves you doesn't show up five hours late for your birthday.)

The question is, you KNOW she treated you badly, so why are you even bothering to waste your thoughts on this girl? She's history and BE GLAD she is. You could have gone on a long time getting used by her. The only reason you're unhappy about her new life is because you haven't moved on. You need to forget about her and stop seeing her. Don't hang out with her as friends. She isn't acting like a friend. Move on completely from her. Wish her the best, and mean it, and then find someone that will treat you with respect and love. Don't waste another minute of your precious life thinking about a negative relationship that is better off in the past.
