Mystery the Phrase Maker

I’ve been watching The Pick Up Artist with interest the last few weeks and enjoying Mystery's take women and how to “seduce” them. But even more interesting to me is the fact that he has created essentially a whole new set of terms in order to pick up women. For example, a set is a group of people. A two set? Two people. DHV spikes? Demonstration of higher value in a conversation. Neg? Showing a lack of interest. A stack is when you move forward to another routine of conversation, while an AFC is an average, frustrated chump. (Presumably what the “guys without game” were before the show started.) Compliance is when you agree to do something, and when you’re trying to show a woman how worthy you are you are qualifying. And perhaps the best one of all, a gambit is a conversation starter. I wonder if it’s necessary to make up entirely new names for common activities just to prove you are good with the ladies? Does this add to Mystery’s charm? His expertise? His reputation? Or does it just make good TV?
