Gina Glocksen Engaged

American Idol contestant Gina Glocksen had just finished singing “It’s Your Love” with Phil Stacey when Phil introduced Joe onto the stage where he prompted declared himself, “the biggest Gina Glocksen fan of all.” Joe got down on one knee and popped the question, as the crowed cheered the couple on. Awwwww. Gina had mentioned her boyfriend Joe several times during the Idol season, calling him “her rock” and saying that he encouraged her to try out again despite not making the final cut in the 2006 auditions. It’s no wonder people can relate to Gina. After all, isn’t that why we continue Internet dating and going out with people our friends set us up with? Like Gina, we want to find someone to love us for the exact person we are and help nurture our dreams. The first one to congratulate the happy couple? None other than Sanjaya Malakar! Seems fitting. After all, what’s a marriage proposal without a little Sanjaya? I’ll second that note of congratulations to Gina and Joe. As I’ve said before, Gina was a favorite of mine.
