Suite readers weigh in on the odds of a long-distance relationship's survival.

The question in our latest dating poll was:

  • Can a long-distance relationship really work?

According to our readers it can. The majority of respondents said if you love someone, you can make a long-distance relationship work. Here are the numbers:

  • 42.31% Yes – if you love someone, you make it work.
  • 30.77% No – absence really doesn’t make the heart grow fonder!
  • 26.92% Maybe – depends on the people and the situation.

I thought it was very interesting that the majority of people either voted yes or no. That means Suite Readers know what they like and don’t like! Well, I could have already told you that….

My bet is that the majority of people responding to this poll had been in at least one long-distance relationship. Let’s face it, it’s not something that you’re going to do over and over again. (And if you are – you’ve got to move to a place with more people!)
