Age of Love - What a Concept!

But Has This Show Proven That Love Is Really Ageless?

My new guilty pleasure: Age of Love. I was wondering how interesting 40s competing against 20s would be, and I have to say the whole concept has been a hoot so far.

After a few episodes of Age of Love, I’ve noticed some things:

  • The 40s seem to have bonded
  • The 20s are more competitive with each other than they are even with the 40s
  • I’ve never seen so much cleavage in my life!

Still, has the show proven that love really is ageless? That remains to be seen. I do see a different level of maturity in the 40s. Despite that they really want to win Mark’s attention, they seem to take it all in stride. If Mark wouldn’t choose them they’d be disappointed but they’d go on with their life successfully. All in all, they have a healthy attitude about being single.

The 20s are much more dramatic, much less supportive of one another and in my opinion, not as interesting. But then that tends to happen when we get older: we live more and become more unique and attractive. In a normal world, the 20s have their perfect bodies, but on Age of Love the women are all so hot that this isn’t even an advantage for the younger girls.

I’m really interested in what you all think of this show! I don’t have any predictions on who will win yet, but I do have some observations. As I’m sure you do too. Click over to the discussion and weigh in on this one. It’s bound to be interesting.
