• Self-Portrait – The sky is the limit with this romantic idea. Put on his favorite lingerie or elegant gown and have a professional photographer snap a few pictures. Order a great big portrait-sized picture and wrap with a great big bow!

• Lingerie – This romantic gesture does not need much explaining. Most men love lingerie. Surprise him by greeting him at the door wearing his all-time favorite lingerie. Or buy a new “little” outfit, wrap it in a fancy box and place it on his dinner plate.

• Massage – Who doesn’t enjoy a relaxing massage? Give him a handmade coupon book for several free massages or make an appointment with the local masseuse. Whether it's done personally or performed by a pro, he will be in Heaven.

• Getaway – This romantic gesture takes some planning. First, check with his assistant or peek at his calendar to see what his schedule looks like. Check the online travel sites to see if any special rates are available to his favorite destination. Or pack up the car and surprise him with a weekend at a nearby bed-and-breakfast or hotel in wine country. A weekend getaway, without the kids and without the cell phone, is guaranteed to be a sure-fire hit!

• Meals – Instead of a typical romantic dinner at his favorite restaurant, why not spice it up a little? Take the kids to the sitter, cook his all-time favorite meal, serve it on the finest china and eat by candle light. Or arrange a picnic for two by making his favorite lunch and putting it together in the picnic basket. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, place a blanket down on the floor in front of the fireplace, crack open the bubbly and have the picnic in the living room! And don't forget about breakfast in bed.
