Nice Girls Will Offer to Pay for Their Meal, Morguefile
Laughing at your jokes, offering to pay her way, and going with the flow could mean you have a great girl right before your eyes.

Want to find an awesome girlfriend? Pay close attention to some of the things she does on a first date. A girl worth your time will typically do the following things the first time you go out.

She Laughs at Your Jokes

A nice girl wants you to feel at ease, so she'll try to do small things to make you feel comfortable. Even if nerves get the better of you (or what you say isn't remotely humorous) she'll be understanding. In short, she won't scowl at you for forgetting the punch line of a joke or stumbling when you try and tell a story. She will laugh politely and encourage you to go on.

She Shrugs Off Imperfection

A nice girl trusts that when a guy takes her out, he will do his best to make sure the date goes smoothly. So if that fabulous restaurant he suggested is packed, she'll easily adapt to a change of plan. She doesn't expect a guy to bring flowers and poems on the first date. However, she knows first dates aren't always perfect and that's okay.

She Stays Focused on You Alone

Even if a girl desperately wants to go home and read a book, she knows it's rude to look around the restaurant or coffee shop for an exit. If she's pressed for time, she won't look continually at her watch. Instead, she'll keep her eyes focused on you and will not make you feel as if you are wasting her time.

She Doesn't Expect a Free Meal

There seems to be a lot of argument among singles today in regards to who should pay for the check. The answer is this: A nice girl should offer to pay for her meal or coffee, and if it's a first date a guy should refuse her offer and pick up the tab. Quality women don't expect to be waited on or to get everything in life for free. That attitude also applies to their dating life. So when a guy does make the move to treat his gal, it makes that much more of than impression.

She's a Great Conversationalist

Great women know how to keep a conversation going. They speak their mind, but also listen to an opposing viewpoint. Rather than arguments, they have engaging discussions. On a coffee date, they can make men feel as if he just spent the most fascinating hour of his life with her. Nice women aren't overtly sexual, but their banter will hold a man's interest enough to want a second date.

Finding a great girl is easy if you pay attention to the smaller things. Rather than getting caught up in her beauty or what she has on, focus on the innate qualities that aren't going to change. If the two of you can click on a deeper level than the physical, it could mean a deeply fulfilling relationship is in your future.

Then how come many of my friends say don't be too nice? I don;t know whether to offer to pay or not? I want to be myself and honestly, I would offer naturally. I hate playing games.

Games never get anyone anywhere when it's all said and done. Be yourself. It's a nice gesture to offer to pay, and I think you should. I think the guy should pay, especially when you are first dating, but I think it shows that you value his time and money when you at least offer to pay.

As far as not being too nice... I think you should always be nice. I don't think you should be a dormat or let someone treat you badly, but you should always be nice. You can still act assertive and straightforward while being your natural, nice self.
