- Some book groups take the summer off and then start up again in fall. Call your local bookstore or library to see which groups might need a few new people. Pick your passion – you’re bound to find a group that’s looking for you to join.

- Many church and religious groups start new classes and sermons in the fall. The next time you go to church, ask about their singles activities. Meeting someone that shares your faith goes a long way toward compatibility.

- As the cool air rushes in it becomes more popular to sit and enjoy the paper and a latte on weekends. So pop into the nearest java joint and see who might be hanging around.
