Dating Defined!
How many dates of what nature constitute 'dating' by today's social standards?
What does it mean if you're dating someone? Apparently this is a word that has almost an infinite amount of definitions! How does the dictionary define dating?
What does dating mean? It means so many different things to different people. Ask ten people and you will likely get as many variances in definitions!
To begin clarifying this, I decided to look to an authority on the subject - this dictionary, which says "An engagement to go out socially with another person, often out of romantic interest."
To really be dating, you need to be going out and doing things regularly socially, such as going out to eat, going bowling, playing mini golf, to the movies, horseback riding, biking, etc.
Considering this, are you currently dating anyone? How many people have you really dated? Something to think about as you tell friends you're 'dating' someone, or when someone asks if you're dating anyone seriously!
